With one of the summer installments of Manga Time Kirara magazine, it was revealed through the cover below that the Ichijouma Mankitsu Gurashi manga is getting a TV anime adaptation. The manga comes from Kumako Hisama, which began in 2018 and has four volumes so far as serialized through Manga Time Kirara for Houbunsha. The July 2025 announcement eventually set the series for an April 2026 debut as part of the spring season. The series is being directed by Toshinori Watanabe, with character designs by Fumiya Uehara. PRA is handling the animation production.
With an April 11th, 2026, premiere date set recently, the show is getting some additional attention as the manga it’s serialized in has nabbed the upcomin 5/2026 cover spot to promote it more.
The Japanese cast includes:
The opening song is “Ciao Ciao,” as performed by Sophià la Mode, while the ending theme song is “Yawayawa Nerd Chō FreQuency” by Mugendai Mewtype.

To her surprise, the dorm also operates as a manga cafe – and she finds herself working there alongside the other residents. This is the beginning of Meiko’s new life in a tiny one-tatami room!
