PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Ensemble Arts Philly has revealed the shows that will be part of its 2026-27 Broadway Series.
One of the most anticipated shows is “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”.
It follows the sons of Harry and Draco as they go back in time to fix things.
“It’s a great show about time and friendship, and it’s a really, really wonderful new chapter”, said Ensemble Arts Philly VP Frances Engler.
The Broadway sensation “Oh, Mary!” will also be taking the stage.
The show somehow turns Mary Todd Lincoln’s life after Abraham’s assassination into a comedy.
Engler says “You start laughing from pretty much the first scene, and you don’t stop until about 90 minutes later.”
The season will also feature hit musicals including “The Phantom of the Opera”, “The Book of Mormon”, “Mamma Mia!”, and the 10th anniversary of “Waitress.”
There are also some exciting additions like “Alicia Keys’ Hell’s Kitchen”, “The Great Gatsby” and the 2025 Tony winner for best musical “Maybe Happy Ending”.
Plus, there will be family favorites like “Riverdance” and “Stomp”.
You can find a full list of show dates and subscription options on Ensemble Arts Philly’s website.
