Conway, Ark. (KATV) — Spring in Conway doesn’t just mean warmer days and blooming flowers — it also means the Conway Art Walk is back, kicking off its 2026 season this weekend with a science-themed twist.
The Conway Art Walk is a monthly event celebrating local Arkansas creatives and vendors.
Create Conway social media coordinator Aari Parreñas said it’s held every first Friday from March to November, skipping May to celebrate Toad Suck Daze.
The 2026 season begins Friday, March 6, with the theme “the science of art,” blending science concepts with different artistic mediums.
Among the featured activities is an exhibit with Crystal Bridges where attendees can create a collage of their own animal.
Artist Cat Wilson is also set to bring a “selfie throne” to the event. Aari said Wilson is a celebrated Arkansas artist whose work has been displayed at the Louvre in Paris, and that her selfie thrones are “exclusive and unique every time.”
Wilson is expected to build the Conway Art Walk selfie throne with help from University of Central Arkansas students.
The Art Walk is free and open to all ages, with organizers encouraging people to bring family and friends.
Aari said there will be about 41 vendors for March, including food vendors and artists, and applications are accepted throughout the season.
People who want to get involved can apply online as a volunteer, demo artist, artist or vendor.
