CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) — Book lovers in Carterville will have a chance to stock up next week during the spring book sale at the Anne West Lindsey District Library.
The Friends of the Library will host the event Thursday, April 16 through Saturday, April 18, with proceeds benefiting library programs and initiatives.
Books will be sold for $5 per bag, with bags provided by the library. Visitors who bring back bags from previous sales can fill them for $4.
Donations of books will also be accepted ahead of the sale at the library.
Organizers say the fundraiser helps support programs like summer reading and improvements to the library’s children’s area.
The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit group that raises funds to support library services and community programs.
