LOS ANGELES – The NBA All-Star weekend is set to dazzle fans not only with thrilling on-court action but also with a vibrant celebration of basketball culture through art. From Friday, February 13 to Sunday, February 15, the plaza at Intuit Dome will host the inaugural NBA All-Star Art Garden, an immersive outdoor exhibition showcasing the works of ten renowned artists from Los Angeles and the Southern California area. Each piece of art on exhibit will be rooted in the landscape of Los Angeles, set within a living installation of native Southern California plants chosen for their movement, resilience, and sculptural form — qualities shared by the athletes and artists celebrated here. When the final buzzer sounds, these plants will be gifted to a local Inglewood community garden, ensuring the garden’s legacy continues to grow.
This unique showcase spotlights the personal expressions of what it means to celebrate basketball — its culture, its community, and the very heartbeat of the game. The collection includes a dynamic mix of sculptures, appliqué, and digital artwork that bring to life the spirit and energy of basketball from diverse creative perspectives.
The featured artists include Cierra Boyd, Mr. Collage, Tim Cook, James Haunt, Aaron Kai, Dani Kawaii, Billy Kheel, Colin Roberts, Sadie Rose, and Steve Saiz.
Visitors are invited to explore the artwork throughout the three-day event. On Saturday, February 14, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, the artists will be available on the plaza, offering an exciting opportunity for fans to engage directly with the creators before the NBA All-Star Saturday festivities.
This artistic celebration highlights basketball’s important role on art and culture, spotlighting LA’s vibrant creative community and their unique voices within the world of sports and beyond.
