Numerous Transformers toys have been released based on Autobot leader Optimus Prime, with these taking on different forms and color schemes over the years. The newest of these is based on one of his darkest forms, but it’s not the repaint that some might expect.
MS-B46SG Light Of Victory (Legends Scale Shattered Glass Optimus Prime) is a repaint of a previous figure from Magic Square Toys, with this purple robot being an evil incarnation of Prime. However, instead of representing Nemesis Prime, it showcases the dark world of the Shattered Glass continuity. Supposedly rolling out soon, this toy is certain to darken the Autobots’ lightest hour.
Magic Square Toys Unleashes the Dark Power of Shattered Glass Optimus Prime
As mentioned, MS-B46SG Light Of Victory (Legends Scale Shattered Glass Optimus Prime) is based on Optimus Prime’s alternate reality incarnation from the twisted world of the Shattered Glass timeline. This corrupted, inverted world notably had the Autobots as the evil faction, with the Decepticons instead in the role of the heroic robots in disguise.
Instead of his heroic red and blue color scheme, this version is predominantly purple and teal, separating him from both the normal Optimus Prime and his black and dark blue evil clone, Nemesis Prime. Despite a change in morality, this take on the Autobot leader includes many of the expected accessories.
Given that the toy is a repaint of Magic Square Toys’ MS-B18 Light Of Justice, it has similar armaments. These include Prime’s orange energo-ax and an Ion blaster, plus a battle-damaged head that can be switched out with his regular one. He can even open his chest to reveal the Autobot Matrix of Leadership, though it’s certainly a lot less heroic this time around. Shattered Glass Optimus Prime can also transform into his classic Generation 1 truck mode, but he doesn’t come with a trailer this time around.
The toy can now be pre-ordered through various websites, with the price being around US$42.99. This is just a color prototype, however, so the previously planned release date of Jan. 28, 2026, is obviously inaccurate. While it’s unknown exactly when this Autobot will transform and roll out, it’s certain that he’ll wreak havoc upon the roads as soon as he does.
