The manga series Koukoku no Gekokujou (香国の下剋上) by creators Jun Eeaka and Yuniko Suzumiya is moving right along and has now gained some new attention with the upcoming 8/2026 cover of Be Love magazine as you can see below. Translating as An Oppressed Perfumer and an Unfortunate Prince Aim for World Rule, it began in 2025 in the magazine and has two volumes released so far.
Esaka’s first work was back in 2018 with work on the Naruto: Shinden novel, while Suzumiya began in 2020 with Dekiai Reijou wa Danna-sama kara Nigeraremasen… Anthology Comic and have seven works to their name.
Plot Concept: A girl blessed with the rare gift of scentcraft. A forsaken prince who cannot smell. Together, they chase the mythical Hundred Scents—aromas said to stir the very soul of the empire.
