The winter 2023 anime adaptation of Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken, which is localized as The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, is getting its home video releases in Japan handled by TOHO. The distributor has set a four-volume release for the twelve-episode series that begins on May 17th, 2023. The DVDs are priced at 7,000 yen each while the Blu-rays are priced at 8,000 yen each. The first volume has a limited edition Blu-ray priced at 11,000 yen.
TOHO is handling the second season and it’s a bit different than the first season. It’s a four-volume set again, but they’re priced at 9,000 yen each. The first volume has a large-sized limited edition that comes in at 13,500 yen. Check out the full schedule and known details below.
The series has Kenichi Imaizumi overseeing it with Lihua Wangas the director working from the series composition by Keichiro Ochi. Takayuki Noguchi is working on the character designs for it with project N0. 9 handling the animation production.
The light novel series from writer Saeki-san began in 2019 via GA Bunko and is ongoing. Yen Press began releasing the light novel in English in December 2020.
The Japanese cast includes Taito Ban as Amane Fujimiya, Manaka Iwami as Mahiru Shiina, Taku Yashiro as Itsuki Akazawa, and Haruka Shiraishi as Chitose Shirakawa.

Plot Concept: After catching a cold by giving his only umbrella to a girl sitting in the rain, Amane Fujimiya only expects her to eventually return it. However, Mahiru Shiina, the “Angel” of Amane’s school and his neighbor, instead gives him a lot more than that. Instead of just the umbrella, she insists on returning the favor by helping him recover from his cold. However, she is oblivious to the battlefield that is Amane’s apartment.
The only word Mahiru finds from her mouth to describe the chaos is “unsightly.” But despite her unsympathetic description, Mahiru proceeds to help the hopeless Amane. Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken follows Amane as he is taken care of by Mahiru, who attends to various chores—from cleaning his apartment to cooking dinner. Is there anything that the Angel can not do?
