THE ACCESSORIES, a much buzzed about upcoming horror book has a release date, August 5.
Created by writers David Dastmalchian and Leah Kilpatrick, with art by Patrick Piazzalunga, Marco Brakko on colors, and Patrick Brosseau lettering, the series will be released by Panick Entertainment and Rocketship Entertainment.
THE ACCESSORIES is a high concept trip into humor and horror: what happens when Igor, Renfield and Mrs. Hyde decide they’ve had enough of being sidekicks in the evil plans of their better known partners in extreme crime?
The looming question is: what do they do now?
These three discarded servants find each other in the fallout, forming a band of gawky but determined anti-heroes caught between angry villagers, vengeful monster hunters, and furious former employers. Their survival will take more than just guts. Luckily, they know where to procure more.
You can check out a preview of the book below, but The Beat can exclusively reveal the variant cover image by Tim Seeley. Other variant cover artists include Lucas Ketner, Matthew Seaborne, and a special classic monster movie poster homage cover series by Joel Herrera. Seeley is no strager to horror, with many years of Hack/Sash on his resume among other things.
Dastmalchian had praise for the collab. “It’s always exciting to find new collaborative partnerships and I was overjoyed when I heard that the great Tim Seeley was interested in working with us on THE ACCESSORIES! He has continuously impressed me over the years whenever I see his work. When he sent his first ideas to us, it instantly reminded me of the Halloween vinyl record album covers that I’ve loved and collected since my childhood. What a fitting vibe for the world that Leah and I are building with this comic!”
Kris Longo, Panick publisher, is excited about the series as well. “THE ACCESSORIES represents exactly the kind of bold, creator-first horror storytelling PANICK was built to deliver to the world,” he said in a statement. “David, Leah and Patrick have created something deeply human, frightening, and visually unforgettable. Final Order Cutoff (FOC) for retailers is June 29, 2026. THE ACCESSORIES #1 will be available through Rocketship Entertainment via Lunar Distribution and Universal Distribution.
