Back in December 2024, we talked about how it was getting close to the end for the Haibara-kun no Tsuyokute Seishun New Game light novel as it concluded with the ninth volume. The series is localized as Haibara’s Teenage New Game+ and comes from writer Kazuki Amamiya and artist Gin, it also has a manga adaptation by artist Misaomaru, which began in 2023.
We learned in June 2025 that an anime adaptation is in the works with an April 2nd, 2026, premiere date. The home video releases have been set with King Records putting together a two-volume release for the show on Blu-ray only. They’ll be priced at 22,000 yen each, and you can see the full schedule and known details below.
With the first set coming up in a few weeks, we’ve got a look at how the set is going to look below.
The series has set Misuzu Hoshino as the director working from the series composition by Keiichi Ochi. Hiromi Ono is handling the character designs with Studio Comet on the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Kanon Takao as Hikari Hoshimiya, Yuto Uemura as Natsuki Haibara, Kanna Nakamura as Miori Motomiya, Aya Yamane as Uta Sakura, Sayumi Suzushiro as Yuino Nanase, Ryōta Suzuki as Tatsuya Nagiura, Tomohiro Ōno as Reita Shiratori, and Aimi as Serika Hondo.
Aimi Maeshima is performing the opening song “Fly Again!!,” while the ending theme song is “Dramatic Tohiko” as performed by Aimi.
The series made its debut in December 2021, and the ninth and final volume was just released with a July 1st, 2025, release date in Japan. The light novels are being released in English through J-Novel Club.
