    NEED TO KNOW

    • Netflix has recent launched “Watch Your Favorite Books,” a hub for fans of literary adaptations with nine reader-focused categories

    • Some of the categories include “You Crave Amazing Characters,” “You’re into Immersive World-Building,” “You Love a Great Plot Twist” and “You Savor Swoonworthy Romances”

    • Upcoming adaptations include Little House on the Prairie, Pride & Prejudice, East of Eden and The Twilight Saga: Midnight Sun

Dearest avid readers — Netflix has something new in store for you.

On June 2, the streaming giant announced a new hub specifically for subscribers who love literary adaptations.

Available now, “Watch Your Favorite Books” is “organized around nine distinct reader types,” according to a press release. Those include:

    • You Crave Amazing Characters

    • You’re into Immersive World-Building

    • You Love a Great Plot Twist

    • You Savor Swoonworthy Romances

    • You’re a Nonfiction Fanatic

    • You’re a History and Period Piece Buff

    • You Adore All-Ages Adventures

    • You Collect Manga and Comics

    • You’re Wild About Web Stories

“We’ve seen a real passion from fans around Netflix’s library of book adaptations. Our team looked to celebrate that fandom by creating a destination on Netflix for enthusiasts to explore their favorites and find more stories they’ll love,” said Netflix’s Senior Director of Product Merchandising Mansi Patel, in the same release.

“Built on our recently redesigned experience and the success of earlier fan-inspired collections, such as ‘Your Zodiac Watchlist,’ ‘Watch Your Favorite Books’ brings together our library of book-inspired entertainment into one engaging, immersive space, making it fun and exciting to find what to watch next based on your personal taste and reading style,” they concluded.

According to Tudum, four of the streamer’s most-watched English-language series of all time globally are based on books, including The Queen’s Gambit, Bridgerton seasons one and three and His & Hers.

Meanwhile, film adaptations Bird Box, Leave the World Behind and The Gray Man rank among the most-watched English-language movies of all time globally.

In addition to Netflix’s recent film adaptations of People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry and Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt, the streamer will release series adaptations of Little House on the Prairie, Pride & Prejudice, East of Eden and The Twilight Saga: Midnight Sun later this year.
