‘Fist of the North Star’ 40th Anniversary Anime Streams [Alexandros] Opening Music video

It may feel like the era of remakes, but that’s always been part and parcel of not just anime but many artistic endeavors, and anime is no exception. Warner Bros. Japan announced in September 2023 that they’re producing a new adaptation of the Fist of the North Star manga that will feature an all-new cast. Other than the visual to the right, no other details were revealed beyond it’s being done to commemorate the 40th anniversary.

The series saw an April 10th, 2026, premiere date with the title of Hokuto no Ken -Fist of the North Star- and has been moving right along.

One piece that I had missed recently was that the opening theme song had a full music video release by [Alexandros] for the opening theme song “Hallelujah,” which you can see below.

The Japanese cast includes Shunsuke Takeuchi as Kenshiro, Daiki Yamashita as Bat, M.A.O as Rin, Wataru Takagi as Jagi, Tsuguo Mogami as Toki, Taiten Kusunoki as Raoh, Yūichi Nakamura as Rei, Ruriko Aoki as Mamiya, Chafurin as Heart, Yasuhiro Mamiya as Dia, Anri Katsu as Club, Kaori Ishihara as Taki, Sayuri Sadaoka as Toyo, and Takashi Matsuyama as Jackal.

Prime Video has confirmed its plans for what languages will be available and subtitle options. The audio options include English, Deutsch, Español (España), Español (Latinoamérica), Français, Italiano, Português (Brasil), ไทย, and日本語, while subtitle options include English, Deutsch, Español (España), Español (Latinoamérica), Français (Canada), Français (France), Indonesia, Italiano, Melayu, Nederlands, Polski, Português (Brasil), Türkçe, العربية, हिन्दी, ไทย, 中文（简体）, 中文（繁體）, and 한국어.

The series features the opening theme song ‘Hallelujah” as performed by Alexandros below.

The manga from Buronson and Tetsuo Hara began in 1983 in Weekly Shonen Jump and has had multiple anime adaptations, including the original TV series in 1984 that ran for 152 episodes.

Plot Concept: After an apocalypse, the world is laid to waste. Bandits rule the land, and might makes right the world over. Justice is a dying concept, so a new kind of hero begins to show himself to the people. With his “Fist of the North Star” technique, the man named Kenshiro slaughters those who would do violence upon the innocent. He journeys to violently set justice back in the world, and dreams of one day finding his beloved Julia.
