Nearly a decade after the hardcover edition first hit shelves in 2017, BOOM! Studios has announced a softcover re-release of Jane, a graphic novel adaptation of Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre that puts its heroine in modern-day Manhattan. Today, The Beat can reveal an exclusive sneak peek at the new edition, which releases this summer.
Written by Aline Brosh McKenna and illustrated by Ramón K. Pérez, Jane follows the titular artist from her small, quiet town to bustling New York City, where she’s hired to nanny for a powerful man’s young daughter. She quickly develops feelings for the man, but it’s… complicated.
