The Black Clover anime series has had some rumblings recently about a new anime project coming, and that was announced during Anime Expo this past summer. A new season is in the works with Studio Pierrot handling the production.
While we await more details on that project, the manga itself has come to a close with the spring installment of Jump GIGA, and it’s no surprise that it has nabbed the cover of the magazine, as you can see below.
The previous anime began in 2017 and wrapped up in 2021 with 170 episodes and it had a feature film as well.
The manga comes from Yuki Tabata, which began in February 2015 and has thirty-six volumes released so far. Viz Media is releasing it here in compiled volumes as well as part of the Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine.
Plot Concept: In a world where magic is everything, Asta and Yuno are both found abandoned at a church on the same day. While Yuno is gifted with exceptional magical powers, Asta is the only one in this world without any. At the age of fifteen, both receive grimoires, magic books that amplify their holder’s magic. Asta’s is a rare Grimoire of Anti-Magic that negates and repels his opponent’s spells. Being opposite but good rivals, Yuno and Asta are ready for the hardest of challenges to achieve their common dream: to be the Wizard King. Giving up is never an option!
