The upcoming anime feature film project Hyakuemu, also known as 100M, is now set for a September 19th, 2025, debut. It’s based on the 2018 manga by Uoto that ran for five volumes before completing in 2019, as serialized through Magazine Pocket. The date announcement came with a new promo and visual below, and GKIDS brought out a subtitled trailer and plans for an October 2025 theatrical release.
GKIDs recently followed through on its pickup of it earlier this year with plans for an October 10th, 2025, select release, and then going nationwide October 12th through the 14th. While that has come and gone, it was a question of where it might show up first for streaming since GKIDS has a few options. Netflix brought the film out for streaming with a December 31st, 2025, debut in its original Japanese language with at least English subtitles, as well as the English dub here.
Japanese distributor Pony Canyon has set the home video release for the project. Planned for a May 27th, 2026, release, the DVD is priced at 4,800 yen, while the Blu-ray is getting a limited edition priced at 12,800 yen. The Blu-ray is a two-disc special edition with bonus features. The box includes a newly designed illustration by original author Uo Yutaka, a newly designed digipack case by character designer Kojima Keisuke, a visual booklet (52 pages in total) containing a special conversation between director Iwaizawa Kenji and Kojima Keisuke, and other luxurious bonus features!
With the set coming up next month, we’ve got a look at the main packaging for the sets that will be the same for each format.

Plot Concept: 100 METERS follows Togashi, a track star who is born to run. As a kid, he is naturally gifted and wins every 100-meter race without effort. But in sixth grade, he meets Komiya, a transfer student who is full of determination but lacks technique. In teaching him, Togashi gives Komiya a new purpose: to win no matter what.
