    • The LeMoyne Chain of Parks Art Festival took place in downtown Tallahassee, featuring over 160 juried artists.
    • Attendees enjoyed live entertainment, food vendors, and art demonstrations, including 3D street art.
    • Both new and returning artists praised the festival for its welcoming atmosphere and community support.

Families and art lovers filled the shaded paths of downtown Tallahassee during the LeMoyne Chain of Parks Art Festival on Saturday morning, browsing rows of white tents and stopping to chat with local and visiting artists about a vibrant collection of artworks, from delicate glasswork and bold sculptures to oil paintings and photography.

Under the canopy of the historic oaks, the festival hummed with live entertainment, local food vendors, and excitement for live art demonstrations, including 3D anamorphic street art at the Chalk Art Oasis.

For Amy O’Malley from Minneola, Florida, a first-time vendor, the atmosphere was an immediate draw. “I really enjoy showing in college towns because it’s just a fun, diverse community that really resonates with my artwork,” O’Malley said.

Long-time participant Deborah Barnes of Mount Dora, Florida, has returned for 24 years for the sense of community.

“I enjoy everything about it. The community, the setting, the people that support it,” Barnes said. “This is one of the few art centers or galleries that really treat the artists so special when we come here.”

The community spirit extends to the Second Harvest of the Big Bend dry good donation drop boxes located throughout the festival, where visitors are encouraged to give back.

The Chain of Parks festival is open to the public Saturday, April 18, until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Whether you are a serious collector or just looking for a Saturday stroll, the Chain of Parks remains Tallahassee’s premier outdoor gallery. While festival goers enjoy the sights and sounds of this cherished event, professional judging is underway across all mediums, with award winners to be announced Sunday morning.

Set under the majestic live oak trees of downtown Tallahassee’s Bloxham, Lewis, and Randolph “Chain of Parks,” the two-day event will welcome thousands of visitors to view and purchase unique works of fine art from over 160 national juried artists, while enjoying a weekend filled with live 3-D street art, folk and heritage art, live local entertainment, musical processions, children’s art activities, local cultural re-enactments, community connections, delicious local food, craft beer, and more.
