Organisers have announced the programme for the 2026 ‘special edition’ of Art Dubai, which has downsized following ongoing regional conflict.
Marking the fair’s twentieth anniversary, this edition will feature 50 galleries – compared to more than 120 in 2025 – of which nearly two thirds are from the region. It will also expand its programming through partnerships with local cultural institutions including Alserkal Avenue, Art Jameel, Barjeel Art Foundation, Dubai Collection and Sharjah Art Foundation.
The news follows an earlier announcement that the fair would be delayed and its format revised due to the ongoing military conflict in the region.
‘This special edition will demonstrate the resilience of the UAE’s cultural scene as well as the power of collaboration, bringing together galleries, artists and institutions at a time when that role of convening feels more important than ever’, said Benedetta Ghione, executive director of the Art Dubai Group, in a statement.
Art Dubai will take place at Madinat Jumeirah from 15–17 May.
