With a tease that a big announcement was coming, the Nippon Sangoku manga confirmed an anime adaptation was in the works in January 2026. The property began in 2021 by Matsuki Ikka as serialized through Ura Sunday for Shogakukan. The series has six volumes out so far, with the most recent out in November 2024. Ikka had made their debut in 2020 with Bukuro Kicks and this is their second series.
With an April 5th premiere date, along with confirmation that Prime Video picked it up for streaming worldwide outside of Japan, the latest update has the production bringing out the first preview of the 3rd episode ahead of its April 19th, 2026, debut.
The project has set Kazuaki Terasawa as the director with animation production at Studio Kafka. Takahiko Abiru is on board for the character designs.
