After the success of its Godzilla vs. America anthology comic book four-issue miniseries that saw the iconic kaiju targeting different cities across the United States, it didn’t come as a surprise that IDW Publishing is continuing the mayhem with a Godzilla vs. America: Texas one-shot available next May. Unlike prior entries in the series, the King of Monsters has his eyes set on an entire state instead of one single city. It’s fitting that it’s Texas where everything matches Godzilla’s size.
The Beat is proud to exclusively reveal preview pages from the one-shot available next month on May 13. Pre-order deadline is this Monday. The issue will feature stories from various Texas based comics creators including Devin Kraft, Joe Eisma, and Matt Frank.
GODZILLA VS AMERICA: TEXAS
Everything is bigger in Texas.
Godzilla couldn’t settle for one city in the Lone Star State, so it’s going to trample over all of them. Hopefully those cowboys have a saddle big enough for the King of the Monsters…or else things are about to get ugly.
Join Godzilla and a cast of comic book creators from this great state on a whirlwind tour of Texas! Featuring four 10-page stories by comic book legends like Matt Frank (Mothra, Godzilla: Rulers of Earth) and more!
- On sale May 13, 2026
