We just got our first trailer for Dune Part 3, and I am 100% back in my Dune phase. I’m watching the Giedi Prime sequence at least once a day. I have the female vocals from Paul’s Dream running through my head like a permanent earworm. And, of course, I’m re-reading Dune: Messiah.
Amazon seems to be aware of the situation, having featured a heck of a lot of Dune in their Spring Sale deals. The Dune books themselves have gotten some pretty solid discounts, but the discounts are even better when you bundle them into Amazon’s “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” deal.
Dune Book Deals – Included in Amazon’s ‘Buy 2, Get 1 Free’ Deal
How it Works: Add 3 eligible items to your cart, and Amazon will automatically discount the cheapest one to $0. You can also mix and match book deals with other categories, like movies.
The Dune series is largely split up into two ‘sets’: the original six books written by Frank Herbert, and a ridiculous amount of sequels written by his son, Brian.
Dune Part 3 will be adapting Dune: Messiah while potentially looking ahead to some plotlines from Children of Dune.
These books are very much an experience, so I’d recommend picking up the first one and seeing how it goes. Thankfully, they pretty much all happen to be on sale.
Main Dune Series Reading Order

If you’re already worked through the Dune books, the deal also happens to include the graphic novel versions illustrated by Raúl Allén and Patricia Martín. We happen to have a preview of that if you want to take a closer look first.

If you’re a particular fan of the Dune movies, Amazon has also added most of the Villeneuve movie art books to the ‘3 for 2’ deal. My top recommendation here is Dune: Exposures, which collects cinematographer Grieg Frasier’s on-set photography with Josh Brolin’s writings. It is in fact the source of the infamous Timothee Chalamet poem.
