Disney Cruise Line has revealed that its next ship is officially called the Disney Believe. Furthermore, it confirmed it will set sail in late 2027 with experiences inspired by Encanto, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Moana, and The Little Mermaid.

The news was revealed during Disney’s annual shareholders meeting, where new CEO Josh D’Amaro shared that the Disney Believe will honor the “dreamers and doers who dare to pursue their own happily ever after.”

The Disney Believe, which is all about promise and possibilities, is the ninth Disney Cruise Line ship and the fourth Wish-class ship. It also follows the enchantment-themed Disney Wish, the adventure-themed Disney Treasure, and the heroes and villains-themed Disney Destiny.

Last year, we had the honor of attending the Steel Cutting ceremony for the Disney Believe in Papenburg, Germany, which marks the special moment when construction officially begins on the vessel. It was a surprise addition to our journey to learn how the Disney Destiny and the other Disney Cruise ships are built by an incredible team.

The Disney Believe, and the Disney Adventure that just had its Maiden Voyage out of Singapore on March 10, are part of a huge expansion by Disney Cruise Line. By 2031, there are plans to have the fleet grow to 13 ships, including a brand-new class of ships in 2029 and an agreement with Disney and Oriental Land Co. Ltd. (OLC) to introduce Disney cruise vacations to Japan in the same year.

For more, check out our review of the Disney Destiny and why we said it was storytelling at its finest, the newly-revealed release dates for Lilo & Stitch 2 and Incredibles 3, and our meeting with the next-generation robotic figure of Olaf and how it gave us a glimpse of the future of immersive entertainment at Disney Parks.
