PUTNEY – Join the Putney Historical Society for a book launch with Bill Darrow to celebrate publication of his book “Putney Then and Now: A Vermont Town in Photographs, 1885-2025” on Sunday, March 22 at 2:00 pm at Next Stage.
It is a handsome soft cover book with excellent photographs dating to the 1880s and early 1900s paired with current photos showing the change that has taken place over the past 100-140 years. Darrow provides detailed discussion of the relevant historical context of Putney and the broader region before focusing on historic buildings and individuals from Putney’s history. Bill will be joined by his brother Evan who assisted in the exploration of the various historic sites and they will discuss their findings presented in the book. Bill will sign copies of the book that will be for sale for $35 with a portion of the cost going to the Putney Historical Society.
