    The end of February and the beginning of March bring lots of new shows and exhibitions in the North Texas Art world. Some new shows that you shouldn’t miss include Diversions Dallas, which showcases four diverse ballet performances in one show. Plus more to check out in the performing arts, museum and gallery spaces from Feb. 27 through March 5.

    (COMING SOON) PEPPA PIG: MY FIRST CONCERT An interactive introduction to a live orchestra for kids ages 18 months and older staring Peppa Pig and her family.

    “EMMANUEL GILLESPIE: JOY” Dallas artist Emmanuel Gillespie showcases the achievements of people of color throughout history and their important role in shaping the arts in North Texas and the U.S through his art.

    “PROTECTING CULTURAL MEMORY: A COMMITMENT TO THE CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION OF THE ART AND ARCHIVES HELD IN THE AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSEUM, DALLAS” The installation features selected works from the “Fire” exhibit by Gregory Warmack. The artwork was created from recycled objects and found materials from nature that he turned into large-scale sculptures reflecting his life experiences.

    (COMING SOON) RASHID JOHNSON: A POEM FOR DEEP THINKERS This will be multidisciplinary artist Rashid Johnson’s largest exhibition and it will showcase 90 of his works, including his paintings, sculptures, film, black soap painting, and spray-painted text pieces.

    (COMING SOON) “THE HOLY SEPULCHER: TREASURES FROM THE TERRA SANCTA MUSEUM, JERUSALEM” An exhibition showcasing more than sixty objects made of silver, gold, enamel and precious jewels from several European monarchs and rulers to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem.
